Summary
Responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment, conducting anatomical reconstructions, optimizing 3D printed models, and collaborating with physicians to provide specialized designs for medical Applications.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Operates the 3D printing unit and promotes innovation through the use of new technologies, including VR, 3D printing, and programming skills.
2. Designs, repairs, and modifies 3D CAD data (advanced level).
3. Conducts topology and stress simulations and analysis to optimize 3D printed models.
4. Possess a strong background in anatomy and proficiency in using CT/MRI/US images for segmentation.
5. Handles finishing tasks such as assembling, painting, sanding, and enhancing 3D models.
6. Manages scheduling tasks, including coordinating multiple materials, shipments, machines, orders, etc
7. Designs and implements scientific protocols and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations of the high-throughput facility.
8. Conducts testing of new products related to medical imaging and/or 3D reformations and post-processing
9. Collaborates closely with physicians on complex medical imaging procedures, 3D reformations, and postprocessing procedures.
10. Provides 3D print designs specifically tailored for anatomic structures, surgical cutting guides, radiological phantoms, and other novel applications as needed.
11. Delivers training to new and existing users of 3D printing technology. 12. Performs routine cleaning and calibration of additive manufacturing equipment for printer maintenance.
13. Adhere to all 3D laboratory safety rules and regulations.
14. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
15. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Allied Health is required.
Experience Required
Four (4) years of related experience with Master’s, or six (6) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
Post-graduate certified training in medical 3D printing, including design, segmentation, reconstruction, and processing.
