Summary

Responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance, backup, and support of enterprise systems databases. Including routine database management tasks, such as database tuning and health checks, to ensure the continuity of services. The primary aim is to establish secure and well-functioning databases that provide users with the necessary data for informed decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Performs systems database cloning, replication, and migrations as necessary to facilitate data management and system optimization. 

 2. Performs regular health checks on all systems databases to monitor performance, identify potential issues, and ensure optimal functionality. 
 3. Performs continuous database tuning to optimize performance, efficiency, and resource utilization. 
4. Regularly backup systems databases according to a predefined schedule and carry out database recoveries when needed. 
 5. Ensures compliance with third-party vendor requirements by maintaining systems database software assets. Managing software licenses, updates, patches, and configurations in accordance with vendor guidelines. 
6. Collaborates with the Senior Analyst to implement new database solutions as required. 
 7. Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment. 
8. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or other related discipline is required

Experience Required

One (1) year of related experience with Master’s, or three (3) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
