Summary

Responsible for on-going maintenance and support to ensure secure and reliable data access by the various services using them to ensure that the data and computing power are available when needed. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Performs server reboots when required. 

2. Monitors system security to ensure there are no security breaches.

 3. Performs hardware troubleshooting and basic break/fix when needed. 

4. Installs server operating system on new servers and perform operating system upgrades. 

5. Installs productivity tools/utilities as appropriate. 

6. Monitors, manages, and implements optimization and control of storage (including external storage) projects. 

7. Performs backups according to identified schedules. 

8. Executes restore activities, scripts, and processes when requested. 

9. Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment. 

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or others related discipline is required. 

Experience Required

One (1) year of related experience with Master’s, or three (3) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
