Summary

Oversees and supports the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems at the Hospital. This includes chillers, air handling units (AHUs), ductwork, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Supervises contractors and task force personnel during the installation of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, ductwork, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
2. Coordinates day-to-day site activities related to HVAC system installations, ensuring that tasks are performed according to project schedules, specifications, and the Hospital’s standards.
3. Monitors the progress of HVAC system installations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and report any delays or issues to the project manager for prompt resolution.
4. Assists in the testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, verifying system functionality, documenting results, and ensuring a smooth handover to the Maintenance team for ongoing operation.
5. Provides on-site technical support during installation and commissioning, assisting contractors in resolving minor issues and escalating significant concerns to senior engineers as necessary.
6. Prepares site reports, work logs, and other documentation related to HVAC system installation activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and detailed reports for project handovers.
7. Ensures all HVAC work complies with the Hospital’s policies, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, CABHI), ensuring the highest standards of patient and staff safety.
8. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
9. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

One (1) year of related experience with Bachelors, or three (3) years with Associate Diploma is required.
