Summary

Provides technical support and/or scientific support for research/service projects under direct supervision of senior or scientific technical staff.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Works under the medical physicist for routine treatment planning and treatment time calculations for patients undergoing radiation therapy. 

2. Assists in performance of constancy checks and calibration of patient dose monitoring devices. Participates in maintaining and calibrating equipment and instruments with documentation as appropriate under direct supervision.

 3. Reports research/service results to supervisor. 

4. Participates in calculation of results as directed. 

5. Ensures general laboratory tidiness. 

6. Responsible for maintaining supply stock levels in laboratories ensuring there is adequate stock at all times and that work areas are appropriately prepared. 

7. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.

 8. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.

 9. Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Physics or related discipline is required.

Experience Required

One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree or three (3) years’ experience with Diploma is required
