Summary

Responsibles for managing all activities and staff within the assigned services/functions to ensure continuous timely ongoing operations, and recommend appropriate services enhancements.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1.Oversees operational activities and services for Data Centers Management and ensures the continuous timely, ongoing, and stability of the Department operations.

2.Ensures that all infrastructure equipment is maintained according to policies and recommendations and performs regular checks on equipment and their conditions.

3.Identifies and oversees the implementation of service improvement programs and preventative maintenance in operational data centers and low current rooms.

4.Investigates, diagnoses, and takes prescribed actions on all operational events, alarms and incidents.

5.Oversees all documentation, processes, service reports, management and diagnostic tools and spares, ensuring that spares are maintained at the agreed levels.

6.Works with Servers & Storage Department to determine future capacity needs and requirements.

7.Ensures data centers are secured through collaboration with Information Security and Disaster Recovery.

8.Maintains and ensures employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.

9.Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.

Education

PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Four (4) years of related experience including three (3) years at a supervisory position with PhD, seven (7) years with Master’s Degree, or nine (9) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
