Neurophysiology Laboratory Section
Assists with the supervision of the Clinical Neurophysiology Section, and maintains designated responsibility for a defined procedural area.
1. Performs clinical/technical duties including pro-rata on-call, including all tasks related to the following procedures: Electroencephalography(EEG), Evoked Potentials (EPs), Nerve Conduction Studies(NCS)/Electromyography(EMG), Long Term Monitoring(LTM), intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM), Pulse Oximetry(Pox), Autonomic Studies and Sleep Studies
2. Assists with the supervision of the day-to-day service of the Neurophysiology Laboratory as assigned
3. Acts as a supervisor during absences of the Manager, Neurophysiology Laboratory
4. Assists with ensuring that all laboratory equipment are in safe working condition and laboratory materials and supplies are available
5. Participates in the development and modification of laboratory policies and standards of practice. Assists with ensuring that all Hospital and laboratory policies and standards of practice are followed.
6. Assists with the implementation of quality management and quality improvement programs in the laboratory
7. Acts as a liaison between the medical and technical staff of the Laboratory. Liaises with other Departments at the Hospital as required.
Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate Degree/Diploma Degree in Clinical Neurophysiology or other related discipline is required.
Four (4) years of related experience including two (2) years in a seniority position with Master’s or six (6) years with Bachelor’s Degree of similar requirements is required or eight (8) years with Associate Degree/ Diploma or program is required.
*Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
*Board registration in EEG/Electrodiagnostics is required.
*Certification through examination from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program.
