Neurophysiology Laboratory Section
Responsible for a specified procedural area to perform Clinical Neurophysiology Procedures.
1. Assists Supervisor with administrative processes as required.
2. Acts as a Supervisor during her/his absence.
3. Ensures that proper materials and supplies are available in specified procedural area. Informs Supervisor of ordering needs.
4. Follows up the equipment malfunctions and safety checks in specified procedural area.
5. Participates in the evaluation of new equipment in specified procedural area as required.
6. Maintains clinical indicators in specified procedural area.
7. Assists the technical staff with guidance and training. Participates in in-service training of self and others.
8. Contributes in providing orientation for new staff.
9. Provides information for performance evaluation of technical staff.
10. Ensures that prescribed safety and infection control processes are observed.
11. Participates in implementing quality management and quality improvement programs in the laboratory.
12. Participates in self and others’ education, training and development.
13. Follows all Hospital policies and procedures.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Clinical Neurophysiology or successful completion of a formal two-year program in Clinical Neurophysiology or other related discipline is required.
*Grade 09:
Four (4) years of related experience with Bachelor’s or six (6) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
*Grade 10:
-Four (4) years of experience as a Neurophysiology Technologist at KFSH&RC.
-Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
-One-hundred (100) cumulative continued medical education [CME]
*Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
*Board registration in EEG/Electrodiagnostics or equivalent is required.
*Certification through examination from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program
