Summary

Plans, directs, organizes and controls the operations of the Department. Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of Patient’s Satisfaction, Suggestion and Complaints, Impacts on patients’ coordinated care, internally and externally, with other agencies and the ability to influence others to improve Patient’s outcome. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1.  Conducts short/long-rangeplanning for the Department in accordance with the Hospital and Division'sobjectives/goals and implements the Department Performance Improvement (PI)Program in accordance with the Hospital's overall PI Plan.
  2. Coordinates and communicateswith all Chairmen of Medical Departments, Ambulatory Care Services and Heads ofService with regard to encountered difficulties or complaints in an effort topromote patient satisfaction.
  3. Enhances intra-interdepartmental communication and coordination in order to resolve problems and todevelop method(s) for fact finding as related to patient's complaints,satisfaction and suggestion.
  4. Provides management andservice providers with Patient Satisfaction reports, complaints andsuggestions.
  5. Reviews and analyses patientsatisfaction data for trends and department services implications.
  6. Ensures that patients andoutside agencies are provided with appropriate and timely feedback concerningcomplaints or enquiries.
  7. Identifies patients'needs/suggestion through patients' survey or suggestion boxes. Evaluates suchneeds and communicates with service providers accordingly to satisfy patients'expectations.
  8. Educates hospital-wide staffin regard to patients' rights and expectations.
  9. Participates in designing andimplementing the hospital-wide Customer Service Program and promotes theconcept internally and externally as needed.
  10. Designs and implementspatients' awareness programs in collaboration with concerned departments.
  11. Follows all Hospital relatedpolicies and procedures.
  12. Participates in self andothers’ education, training and development, as applicable.
  13. Performs other related dutiesas assigned.

 

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Nine (9) years of related experience including four (4) years in senior/ supervisory position with Master’s, or eleven (11) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
