Providing legal advice and handling all related legal cases that operates within the legal framework and regulatory requirements of the Kingdom, Provides advices and legal opinions as requested and under the direction by the Director, Legal Affairs and fulfilling the department’s responsibilities.
1. Represents the Hospital before courts and other governmental bodies: representing the Hospital for its regulation; requirements – registering Hospital subsidiaries, filing copyright, defending malpractice claims, cooperating with Ministry of Interior with incarcerated employees as assigned and directed, if necessary, by the Director, Legal Affairs.
2. Collects all relevant facts, controlling law and documentation in the investigation, preparation, litigation, resolution and/or settlement of Hospital cases filed inside and outside the Hospital.
3. Reviews the legal terms and conditions of draft contracts to assure compliance with relevant Saudi law and regulations. Develops and maintains the hospital's standard terms and conditions for all commercial contracts.
4. Organizes legal opinions on major regulatory and legal issues for the Hospital because we are regulated by the Saudi Arabian Government through applicable laws and regulations.
5. Advises the Hospital, including individuals as employees/departments and executives / BOD regarding corporate scope of activities on legal strategy for litigation or settlement of Hospital disputes.
6. Advises to and on behalf of the Hospital as one part and to the counterpart as the other party to the contract on the preparation, drafting and negotiating of the legal terms and conditions in contracts to assure compliance with relevant Saudi law and regulations.
7. Renders advice and opinions on legal questions raised by Hospital departments, with a focus on labor-management relations.
8. Interprets, advises and opines on the Hospital’s constitutive documents, with a focus on the Hospital’s Employee Relations Manual, and relevant Saudi law and regulations.
9. Participates in or assists senior attorneys on Hospital committees and task forces.
10. Trains and coach’s new and junior professional and support staff, as needed.
11. Updates the department on relevant legal developments such as new laws relevant to the Hospital and activities. Case ruling by judges.
12. Attends conferences, symposia, seminars and other continuing legal education courses as assigned.
13. Renders legal opinion in matters related to personnel as required. Interprets the Employee Relations Manual (ERM) and any other legal provisions.
14. Assists the department’s role as a model to all Hospital employees by strictly following all Hospital policies and procedures.
15. Follows all Hospital policies and procedures.
16. Participates in self and other education, training & development as applicable.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Law required.
Four (4) years of professional experience with the Master’s degree in the field of labor law, personnel affairs & contracts, or six (6) years of similar qualifications with the Bachelor’s Degree required.
Saudi National Only.
Bilingual (Arabic/English) required.
