Assists in directing the Emergency Response Team during a fire situation. Investigates incidents and reports findings.
1. Coordinates and participates in fire prevention program, safety surveys, development of emergency planning, and safe work procedures and employee fire and safety training.
2. Inspection, maintenance, refilling and repair of portable fire equipment. Maintains written and computerized records of equipment inventory and inspection results.
3. Responses to all fire and emergency calls, takes proper action, including the application of ventilation codes during fire incidents.
4. Supervises and controls the Emergency Response Team during an emergency and rescue operations and maintains the Section’s daily log activities.
5. Conducts facility surveys and fire inspections activities including evaluation of gathered data under the supervision of Safety Officer.
6. Demonstrates techniques for action during a fire situation. Describes and identifies the characteristics of basic building materials under fire conditions. Identifies fire prevention codes, building codes and ventilation requirements.
7. Identifies and applies procedures required on fire hazards associated with handling and use of flammable liquids.
8. Schedules, conducts and participates in fire drills and other emergencies’ exercises.
9. Analyses accidents and/or fire incidents to determine cause(s) and effect positive actions to correct the situation. Submits reports on fire incidents and/or on job accidents.
10. Evaluates the fire exit requirement for different types of occupancies.
11. Submits statistical reports and interprets data and recommends improvements.
12. Maintains a chronological log of all activities and incidents. Prepares weekly and monthly reports, assist in preparation of annual and ad hoc reports.
13. Trains Emergency Response Team personnel. Assists in employee fire safety training.
14. Accountable to work on a shift basis.
15.Complains and follows the official dress code of Safety & Security Services and the related Department.
Bachelor's or Associate Degree/ Diploma in Safety, Fire, Occupational Safety and Health Sciences, fire and Emergency management, or other related discipline is required.
One (1) year of related experience with Bachelors, three (3) years of related experience with an Associate Degree/ Diploma is required.
*Saudi Driving license is required.
