Summary

Responsible for managing the overall activities and functions of Patient Access and Eligibility section and ensures high quality services provided to patients.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Plans, organizes and manages the daily activities ofPatient Access and Eligibility.

2. Researches and handles special and/or non-routineeligibility cases; reviews and initials daily discharges.

3. Monitors all procedures related to the approvedreferrals from Hospital subsystems and outside organizations.

4. Assists in solving patient's problems/complaints; meetswith patients and listens to their problems in order to help/assists them asrelated to Patient Access and Eligibility.

5. Coordinates with Ministry of Health (MOH) and otherhospitals in regards to patient acceptance or discharge.

6. Maintains and develops policies and procedures relatedto the Section operations, Hospital’s systems, and subsystems; ensures staffcompliance with policies and procedures.

7. Analyses productivity, utilization of facilities,equipment, staffing and quality of work of Patient Access and Eligibility;implements quality assurance programs in coordination with Quality Management.

Education

Master's or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration,Public Health, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Five (5) years of related experience including (2) years ina senior/supervisory position with Master’s, or seven (7) years with Bachelor’sDegree is required.
