Summary

Performs imaging procedures utilizing computerized tomography imaging scanners. Assists other technologists in performing sophisticated procedures.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Prepares the inpatient schedule and coordinates with floors regarding the patient’s preparation and

transportation.

2. Performs imaging procedures utilizing computerized tomography imaging scanners. Assists other

technologists.

3. Investigates new procedures. Assists in maintaining inventory of stock and non-stock supplies.

4. Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and contacts supervisor for any repair needed.

5. Cleans equipment and room and restores all equipment and supplies for subsequent use.

6. Assists in training and supervision of students, interns, and trainees.

7. Participates in the departmental in-services and continuing education and CQI programs.

8. Assists with development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures for the section,

department, and the Hospital.

9. Participates in self’s and others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.

10. Comply with the section policies, procedures and protocols. Follow the section quality improvement

program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards.

11. Comply with the Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations of the Hospital in accordance with KACST and

K.A. CARE and other National or International Regulatory bodies.

12. Apply ALARA principle Role within the section practice for all procedures.


Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Radiological Science/ Technology, or equivalent Associate/Diploma degree in Radiological science for North American is required.

Experience Required

Grade 09:

Four (4) years with Bachelor’s, or six (6) years of related experience with Associate/Diploma degree is required. 

Grade 10:

-Four (4) years of experience as a Senior CT Technologist at KFSH&RC, or (Grade 09) related experience is required. 

-Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years. 

-One-hundred (100) cumulative continued medical education [CME].

Other Requirements(Certificates)

-Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required. 

-Registration in the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists, the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, or equivalent is required for non-Saudis.
