Summary

Plans, organizes, supervises and directs the overall activities of Civil Work Section and ensure the maximum level of productivity and efficiency. Provides administrative and technical support to the Department Head. Assists in implementing Hospital & Departmental Policies & Procedures. Position requires 24 -hours coverage.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Plans and directs overall operational and daily activities of Civil Work Section in the most efficient and professional manner. Analyses, orders and determines required tools, equipment, supplies, parts and manpower required to complete the job. Instructs all craftsmen regarding procedures to be followed.

2. Supervises work in progress and assists with difficult or complex tasks. Reviews operational schedules, assignments and manpower requirement of the section.

3. Prepares and maintains the section budget. Orders equipment, materials, etc. requested in the annual estimated budget.

4. Instructs and trains personnel. Evaluates employee performance and takes action to correct deficiencies. Recommends personnel actions such as: hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and merit increase. Prepares leave schedules. Completes all other related administrative works as required.

5. Ensures that subordinates received proper training and assists them in their major works.

6. Ensures that an adequate inventory of all necessary spare parts, tools and test equipment is maintained at all times in the section. Ensures proper use of tools and equipment.

7. Follows all prescribed safety procedures.

8. Follows all Hospital -related policies and procedures.

9. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.

Education

Master’s ,Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or two (2) years Technical Diploma is required.

Experience Required

One (1) year of related experience with Master’s, three (3) years with Bachelor’s Degree ,or seven (7) years with Diploma is required.
