Summary

Provides expert advice and administrative support to the Medical Executive Director (MED) in the planning and organizing of the Group overall activities and functions to achieve its mission, goals and objectives and to establish/enhance systems, processes, and productivity.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Assists in the development, implementation, monitoring and the updating of Group goals, objectives, strategic, long and short term planning, policies, procedures, and other official documents as necessary. Ensures that Group goals are in line with the Hospital’s Mission, Vision,Values and Strategic Objectives.
  2. Coordinates the process of target setting, assesses and tracks achievement of targets and objectives within Group. Responsible for identifying critical points for management intervention.
  3. Monitors and evaluates the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of service delivery process; assesses and monitors workload, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identifies opportunities for improvement and overall patient’s satisfaction in coordination with counterpart departments.
  4. Responsible for the planning, organizing, assessment,consultation, and monitoring of the Group Internal operating budget processincluding Internal operating of capital budget, business planning &development, and program impact analysis.
  5. Utilizes knowledge, experience, and expertise to lead acomprehensive analysis that identifies differentiating information andvariables to be used in the planning process.
  6. Assists and advises the MED in the development of programmodels and program initiatives. Improves and streamlines the service model andoperational procedures.
  7. Assists and advises the MED in developing and monitoring(individual) Departmental business plans and revenue generation initiatives, providing feedback and support as may be required.
  8. Monitors the performance within Group in relation to key performance indicators and established internal and external benchmarks. Responsible for coordinating the process for defining key quality and performance indicators, targets, and benchmarks.
  9. Assigns works, establishes priorities, monitors performance,and submits periodical clear and concise administrative and financial reportsfor all assigned services/functions.
  10. Ensures that all transactions processed through all assigned services/functions are authentic and are in accordance with the Hospital’s policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  11. Creates and maintains effective communication channels with the leaderships to facilitate the operational and strategic activities of the Hospital, as assigned.
  12. Provides timely performance related information/reports and advice to the MED on the activities and initiatives of the Group, as required.                                                                                                             

Education

Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration, Management Information systems, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Grade 12:

Six (6) yearsof related experiences with Masters, or eight (8) years with Bachelor’s Degreeis required.

 

Grade 13:

Eight (8) years of related experiences with Masters,or ten (10) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
