But once diagnosis is established, the treatment plan is outlined and treatment is identified to be available in a primary or secondary care hospital, the patient will be referred back to the referring hospital to continue to follow the same treatment strategies.
After the patient is screened, necessary investigations are identified and interpreted which include: blood tests, radiological investigations, PFT, exercise test, Echo and/or bronchoscopy.
Once diagnosis is made and treatment plan is identified, follow up is given every 3-6 months according to acuity of the problem. If treatment is available in a local hospital, the patient is given medical report delineating treatment plan in the local hospital.
