Dear KFSHRC community,

Your well-being at work is inseparable from your overall personal well-being. The stress of certain circumstances on our patients and each other can make things challenging. While we aim at teaching, learning, and healing at work, we may carry some weight that some bear heavier and longer than others. You may be more distracted, tired, irritable, and emotional. You may feel completely fine at one point and not at all at another. Your mind and body react, and this is human.

The effect of stress is cumulative. While much is out of our control, it is helpful to focus on what we do have control over, such as caring for others and ourselves.

When filled with emotions, it may be helpful to gain support through speaking to your colleagues, supervisors, friends, and family. You may also choose to reach out to professionals for additional support. Our well-being webpage provides resources and tips on basic needs, self-care, mental health, and psychosocial support. Our goal is to help the KFSHRC community to achieve a sense of meaning and satisfaction at work. When your basic and psychological needs are not met, it becomes difficult to feel a sense of well-being.
