Annual Residents Research For Medical Trainees

Welcome Message

On behalf of the organizing committee I am delighted to welcome you all to the 15^th Annual Residents’ Research Day. Today we are celebrating our new generation of leaders in research and healthcare. 

Over the years this day has been a showcase of the research work of our trainees throughout the year. The changes have been profound with both increases in numbers of submissions and mostly the quality of the projects. 

For this year we have received more than 54 abstracts of which 16 were accepted for presentations and 38 as posters. All the presentations you will see today have been RAC approved and most are comparative studies. 

The diversity of submissions was also very wide with more than 11 departments submitting to be included today. The departments with the largest number of submissions include, Family Medicine, Heart Center, Medicine, Neuroscience, OB/Gyn, Oncology Center, Organ Transplant Centre, Otolaryngology, Pharmacy, Radiology, Surgery, Urology and Research Centre. For those who were not included in todays’ program, thank you for your submissions but unfortunately we cannot include everyone but we look forward to your submissions next year. 

I would like to thank all the judges with us today both from KFSH and our guest judges from the research center at KFMC. I hope you will enjoy the presentations and the posters.

Lastly I would like to thank the members of the organizing committee and everyone involved in making this day possible.
