In 1403 AH, a royal decree was issued approving the statute of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is responsible for supervising and evaluating training programs, as well as setting controls and standards for the practice of health professions. The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties launched its work through its supervisory, executive and specialized councils and committees. The commission aims to ensure the application of good international standards in all post-secondary education institutions and programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Accreditation has been re-granted for Academic Affairs and Training at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Jeddah on March 2021 valid until 2023
